CARING FOR THE WELFARE OF YOUR WORKERS TWISTED REALITY

Caring for the welfare of each and individual workers is another factor to  greatly enhance, harmoniously speed up in reaching the Company goal and objectives.

Insurance Benefits  -  Giving them insurance benefits so that they can get hospitalized in case of accident and unavoidable sickness. This will boost the confidence of your worker and their family because in case of emergency they have an insurance to depend on.
                  On the other hand, the company will not be bother more often giving help and assistance for hospitalization of its workers. This will enable the company to run smoothly even though some of the workers and hospitalize.

Bonuses and perks   -   giving bonuses and perks to workers is another factor which could enable your workers to love the company and their respective work. Though this is not compulsory to give bonuses and perks, it is upon the discretion of the owner, as he is being  blessed to have earned more than enough he might as well give portion of his earning to his workers as a token of thank you for their achievement for the year.

Vacation and Emergency-leave -   though it is found Labour laws in most countries, the implementation are often twisted to benefit or in advantage of the company. Some are giving 1 month vacations every 10th month of the year with free air tickets, some are giving annual vacations with free air tickets while some have no free air tickets, on the other hand   there are some who are giving paid 2 month vacations every after 2 years with free air tickets.
             Whatever it is that your company is giving, this greatly help your worker to re-energize and enjoy their respective family after 2 years of hard work. This will enable your worker to assess their status of living and decide either to extend working abroad or stop and stay in their respective country.

Giving Car/Car allowances/Free housing   -   most Company at the early stage, who are still striving to  succeed are not able to afford giving such this type of benefits. But most of the established Companies do. 
           Some are only giving this type of benefits to those of there own kind or which belong to their religion or belief. Some management are only giving free cars/allowance to those who are close to them, loyal to them or to those who are a friend to them irrespective of how and what are there capabilities in relation to the work in the company. 
              The equality and justly giving of the type of benefits is totally dependent on the approval of the Manager incharge. This will reflect his perception and rightful distribution of the Company equipement. If he is just them he will give this to those deserving  and that could empower more the services of his worker, and if he doesn't care and he has other motive then he will give this to one of his boys or compadres who is just a clerk in the Company.
                                     
On-time Salary and Salary increase  -   Other owners don't realized the importance of giving the workers salary on-time. Most of the Manager or owners think that by delaying the salary though it is not entirely true, they can benefit or they can gain more to their advantage.  
            There was this incident, one time I heard one of employee saying "  Why would I work righteously? since they are not giving salary on time, I will also delay the work or work slowly to be fair." which is so true.  
          Mostly delaying salaries of the workers will cause the company a lot in every aspect. Like some workers will make reasons to delay the work, some will create a situation or destroy some parts of the machine, some play hide and seek " work when the supervision or manager is there and stop when there is nobody watching. Some managers/owners may not see this because of their incompetence but mostly it really do happen.
              The same is true with giving of Salary increase. Put this very simple question in mind " Why would anyone do the work that is not in his contract?" it would be either the worker wants to help the company or he wants to be recognized with his capability and in return he might have promotion or a salary increase, but this will not be for long. If the company does not recognized his efforts and only let him work without an increase in benefits eventually the workers will stop doing it.
     Funny situations most of the time happens in an Unprofessionalized Company. 
1. " In one company the Supervisor was promoted to a manager " and what this Supervisor does???? he claimed all the achievement that his worker do and brag this to the owner. But the reality is he don't even know how to do it. The worst part is " The Innocent Owner believes the Supervisor " and so he is promoted, anyway its the owner discretion.

2.  Dumb and dumbest situation:   "Giving Salaries increase  to the workers only if the workers will go exit"  this may sound a joke to some professionals but it really do happen.  That is why in some company  the labor helper is paid much more than the skilled worker. The draftsman is paid more than the Engineer. The fake certified workers becomes the manager and the certified is paid less.  This will greatly cause chaos in the company. Here you can see the Manager will do the work of the Secretary and the secretary will do they work of the Manager. The manager plays the phone games which the foreman do all the work of the manager. Overall analysis would be a total devastation.  Can you project the Companies future??? I will it last for Long???  What will the company look like after 10 years? It will but by chance it  seldom do succeed.
       Try and see for yourself interview them and they can surely talk a lot but let them do the work with you watching, for sure they cannot do the work. It is because things are being run entirely in " the wrong system"
        A certain analytical process should be done in giving a fair salary increase to workers. It can be  by conducting evaluation and assessment to every workers capability  and not by only those who are going exit. In this way we can encourage more and more workers to work hard to achieve rewards or a salary increase which will then in return benefit the company for a lifetime.

المشكلة 1:    شركة دعاية وإعلان يفقد المنافسين المقرر أن علامة المتابعة الفرق. شركة أخرى يمكن أن تقدم أقل بكثير من سعر الشركة الخاصة بك. النتيجة = المشاريع التجارية / الخاصة والتي تقع ما يقرب من الصفر، الشركة هو كسب فقط على المشاريع الحكومية سنويا وراتب الموظفين يتم تأخير دائما لمدة 3 إلى 4 أشهر.

حل:


           في هذه الحالة فإنه من الصعب جدا على المنافسة مع الشركات الأخرى التي يمكن أن تقدم أقل الأسعار لأنه ربما كان لديهم تكلفة تشغيلية أقل أكثر بكثير من شركتك. 
                أفضل شيء نفعله هو إعادة تقييم قدرة الشركة الخاصة بك، والقوة والضعف شركتك. 

مثل:
1: هل يمكن البقاء على قيد الحياة دون مشاريع خاصة / تجارية؟
     
2: هل يمكن دفع راتب شهري من العاملين لديك إذا كنت سوف اعتمادا على دخل سنوي؟
     
3: هل تعتقد بعدم ضبط الأسعار الخاصة بك، يمكنك الأعمال يمكن أن تستمر لأكثر من سنة؟
  
4. ما هو أكثر أهمية بالنسبة لك باعتباره مدير الأعمال / مالك؟ للحصول على المزيد من خلال إضافة المزيد من علامة المتابعة أو عدم قبول المشروع على الإطلاق بسبب انخفاض هامش الربح وبعبارة أخرى لا تفعل شيئا لكسب وليس علينا سوى الانتظار لهامش ربح المشروع لطيفة؟

رأي شخصي:
     في كثير من الأحيان في عالم تنافسي للعمل، المزيد والمزيد من الشركات للإفلاس وفشل. مديري الفشل في جهاز استراتيجية للرد، أو إما أن لا تبالي مستقبل عمل أو أنه كسول جدا على العمل بجدية أكبر، وليس علينا سوى الانتظار لراتب كل شهر.
        
 إذا كنت سوف يكون هذا المدير سوف تنظر في الوضع الحالي للشركة قبل إنشاء حل.

الحالة الحالية:
1. أنا كسب أكثر في المشاريع الحكومية، والمشكلة الوحيدة هي أن عائد سنوي من الاستثمار أو دفع القادمة من الحكومة.

2. إذا في المشاريع التجارية بلدي يفقد بسبب 50-100٪ ملحوظ المتابعة بالمقارنة مع منافس بلدي الذي يضيف سوى 30٪ إلى 35٪ ملحوظ المتابعة بالإضافة إلى الحوافز.


التحليل والحل المقترح من الوضع الحالي:

- ومن الواضح جدا أن على الأرجح، وأنا لا أملك لكسب لتغطية النفقات التشغيلية الشركة إذا لم أفعل شيئا، وإذا كنت لا تقبل المشاريع. يزن الأمور والتضحية ببعض من كسب لحفظ شركتك من السقوط أفضل من لا شيء. إنس، وقبول مشاريع مع انخفاض الأرباح على منتج واحد وتكون قادرة على دفع رواتب بالإضافة إلى أنك تستطيع أن تفعل مشاريع الحكومة في نفس الوقت. مع كل المصاريف المدفوعة ولكن مع أرباح 10 إلى 15٪ فقط على المشاريع التجارية واليد الأخرى التي يتم الحصول ربح كاف على مشاريع حكومتكم، وأعتقد أنني بدلا من شأنه أن يفرط فيه بنسبة 10٪ + كسب ما يكفي في مشاريع الحكومة بدلا من القيام قرار المرجح لمدير الإهمال الذي لا يهتم إذا كانت الشركة هو كسب أم لا.

- في نهج أكثر قوة، كنت تقدم ربح 10٪ للحصول على العودة وتقاوم سمعة والأرباح فقدان الخاص بك = المزيد من المبيعات واستعادة لك مكانة وشعبية في الأعمال التجارية + ربح كاف من المشاريع الحكومية. 

   هذا الحل قد يبدو قاسيا ويجري متهور لمنافس آخر ولكن ماذا يمكنك أن تفعل؟ ومن واقع في عالم الأعمال، منافسيك يقتلون عملك. لا تقلق، يمكنك ضبط لك ملحوظ، في وقت لاحق يوم مع تحسن الوضع.

Problem 1:   Your Advertising Company is loosing to competitors due to mark-up  difference. Other Company can offer much lower price than your Company. Result =  Private/commercial projects and falling almost zero, Company is only earning on Government projects yearly and the salary of employees are always delayed for 3 to 4 months.

Solution:


           In this case it is very difficult to compete to other Companies which could offer lower prices because maybe they have much more lower operational cost than your company. 
                The best thing to do is re-evaluating your Company's capability, your Company's strength and weaknesses. 

Such as:
1: Can you survive without private/commercial  projects?
     
2: Can you pay the monthly salary of your workers if you will be depending on a yearly income?
     
3: Do you think by not adjusting your prices, you business can last for more years?
  
4. Which is more important to you as a business-manager/owner? To gain more by adding more mark-up or not accepting the project at all because of lower mark-up in other words doing nothing to earn and just wait for a nice project  profit margin?

Personal opinion:
     More often in a competitive world of business, more and more businesses go bankrupt and failed. Managers failure to device a strategy to fight back, or either he don't care about the business future or he is too lazy to work harder, and just wait for salary every month.
        
 If I will be that manager I will consider the current status of the Company prior to creating a solution.

Current status:
1. I am earning more in Government projects, the only problem is, the yearly return of investment or payment coming from the Government.

2. If in my commercial projects is loosing because of 50 to 100% marked-up compared to my competitor who is only adding a 30% to 35% marked-up plus incentives.


Analysis and suggested solution of the current situation:

- It is very evident that most likely, I cannot afford to earn for Company's operational expenses if I do nothing, if I do not accept projects. Weighing things and sacrificing some of your earning to save your company from falling is better than nothing. Afterall, accepting projects with lower profit on one product and being able to pay salaries plus you can do the Government projects at the same time. With all expenses paid but with only a 10 to 15% profit on your commercial projects and other hand you are getting sufficient profit on your Government projects, I think I would rather risk it at 10% + sufficient earning in the Government projects rather than doing the most unlikely decision of a careless manager who doesn't care if the company is earning or not.

- In a more stronger approach, you are offering a 10% profit to get back and fight back your loosing reputation and earnings = more sales and regain you status and popularity in the business + sufficient profit from government projects. 

   This solution may seemed harsh and being inconsiderate to other competitor but what else can you do? It is the reality in the business world, your competitors are killing your business. Don't you worry,  you may adjust you marked-up later-on as the situation improves.

How to revive a Big Company from falling sales and Competition



       If you are an existing company and you are suffering this type of situation. Here are some tips on how to regain your grounds in the business.

1.  Know your strength - these are the things that could ignite you to success.
   Such things are, your capability, your quality of work, your advantage over others.

2.  Formulate a marketing strategy-  learn to calculate and weigh things to your advantage.

3.  Evaluate your Company status - this includes works and financial status. How much can you loose in order to win? This may involve more investment input or adjusting the company's labor force or even company's profit.  Think :  Which is more wiser?  Lower down your profit  for the sake of worker salary and survival in time of crisis in the company just  for a while or  Do nothing,  not  accepting the work from the client because  the profit is lower than company standard.

4. Reorganized your company structure, wee-out unnecessary expenses including staff and workers. Eliminate the redundant work force. Sample: Accounting for a 60 workers size company can be handled by 2 employee then, why employ 4. Hire some professional a little high salary but can work beyond 4 worker.

5. Get rid of unproductive supervisor or managers. See their capabilities and skills rather allowing them to only sit down and only depending on their staff for output. Employ a professional and knowledgeable one, the one who has the spirit in the business and not the one who's only waiting for the monthly salary to come. Don't be mislead a manager, who is the team captain of the game, who formulates and decides the game  play and not act as a  supervisor or a secretary who only task is to watch the worker's work or only monitor emails and reports. The best ways to do this is to hire real professionals to manage.

6. Finally, the winning strategy - to be back on top is a very big challenge. Like how can you win if your competitor can do a product at 50,000 and you can do it in 75,000? It is indeed a very mind bugling situation. Are you going to fight or sit back and face the downfall just like an ordinary worker or you fight and keep up with the challenge. You must remember loosing a business product means failure in the business if you will not fight back or formulate another winning solution.

Keep in mind that sometimes you to give up something in order to win. So start to think and fight back.

PROPER DELEGATION AND DIVISION OF WORK ASSIGNMENTS


              As a manager or a supervisory of a certain section you are handling, having a knowledge of work and how to manage it is a very big challenge.  Giving work assignments and monitoring the accomplishment of your staff by asking them reports of daily task, giving them deadlines is a very  good way of maximaxing the working capacity of your workers. An orderly and properly delegation of work and division of work is a must in order to have a smooth and efficient workflow in the respective department.
             On the other hand, an improper delegation of work and the non equal division of assignments could result into a very huge chaos in the department. These will more often result to failure of management and confrontation among worker and supervisors or even end up to resignation of your valuable employee. This mismanagement will greatly affects the companys performance and earnings.
           Imagine the Company is paying for the manager who do not know how to manage his people. He only Sits down and read emails the whole day and only calls for someone to do this and do that and not monitoring each department in the Company??? Some of the times when the manager is not in the good mood he will shout to one of the worker in public or just kick and slams the door when he is angry not considering that there is a visiting clients the Company simply because he did not receive the output that he wants. He wants a good output but he is not doing his work to manage, properly delegate and divide the work assignments of the Company.

           Establishing an email hotline or a complaints and suggestion box especially dedicated to owner or the business administrator is recommended to be informed about the current situation of the Company's management and events.


                     
            
                          

VALUE YOUR CLIENTS


          Another very important factor that a Company must have to succeed in the field of advertising business is " Giving Value to Clients" which simply means, listening to what clients wants, accommodating the clients either it is a low cost project client or most especially the high value clients."


       I have been to lots of Companies and I have observed some who are lost or out of track in their dealing with clients. Managers who are too conceited and very proud of themselves oftentimes gives harsh comments  or simply neglects the clients because he is "nationality that he don't like or he feels superior to him. Others are to lazy to accommodate clients because for them they will still earn there high salary monthly "even if he will not care about the client"

         By inviting them for a meeting and offering them a simple gesture, welcoming them offering them a cup of coffee or tea or a bottle of water is most remarkable than giving nothing. Attending to them when they pay a visit and not letting them wait for  a longer time  will leave a very good empression to your client.
         Giving them brochures and pamplets about the company Products and Services each time they pay a visit or before they leave is a great way of advertising your company or informing them that you are very much ready and capable enough to serve your client.

Evaluate and Reevaluate You People


            Simply means know your people or the employees you are putting your trust into.  Beware of deceitful employee or even  your trusted Managers or Engineers. Because some are so shameless and scam enough to trick you by working while you are around and fool you  as if they are productive or capable for the job. At your back while you are not watching, your trusted person in the business just sit down from morning to dawn not doing even a single task of monitor any project or finding ways to improved the company performance and earnings, but instead he just let the day pass by asking only report from the people on the ground and acting as if he is the one making things happen.


         There was this Company who has been from the start was a booming company. The Company is doing good business and having more clients. The owner who is so confidently reluctant he hires someone and trusting the  new Manager by the looks only of his CV and false certificates and by the way he talks. The Owner was so negledient about his business, he is not even doing a monthly evaluation for both Manager and workers, as to wether this Manager is capable or not. All he know and see is that the manager keeps on giving reports of progress. Not knowing, that his Company is slowly decaying, by simply not function as a righfull Manager and only deceiving the owner slowly the business reflects the effects of such carelessness, lesser clients are coming to the business,  estimations is not winning any bids because the qoutations, the estimation and the profit is erroneously decided. Behind the knowledge of the owner that his Manager don't care whether the business will fall or backrupt as long as he is receiving his monthly salary.


          While the Owner could have done something better. It is very easy to expose the deceit of an employee or a Manager. Monthly evaluation is one solution, in this way you will learn the feedback coming from the very worker the Manager is managing. Or by evaluating the Manager personally asking him about How he will Manage the Capital of the Company? Does he know how to make a live cashflow of the Money invested so that you as the Owner can see the real time cashflow of the money. Because if he cannot do this things, that means he a  blind type of Manager. The very risky type of Manager having no idea on how to control the business or the Cashflow. The owner must not only rely of the Accountant cashflow there must be a way of check and balance. In this way both parties the Management and accounts are clearly monitoring the cashflow so we can avoid corruption.

           One of the other common mistakes of the Owner is approving reluctantly the additional employee as requested by the Manager. Unconsciously he is giving higher salaries to employees  at a higher rate who's work is only checking the attendance and worst than that,  he is only monitoring the in and out of the machine, and not knowing that he is giving  that employee free housing, car allowance, class A insurance which the benifits are exceedingly inappropriate. The work is practically irrelevant and redundant to the work of the Accounting and HR. Thus, it is very important to monitor your Organizational Structure together with its functions to maximize you expenditure to salaries of employees.
